Ghana Black Stars News: Black Stars to face DR Congo in Quarter Final
The Local Ghana Black Stars will face the Democratic Republic of Congo after has been drawn in the last eight fixtures in the ongoing African Nations Championship (CHAN) in South Africa.
Ghana Black Stars has top there Group C and will remain in Bloemfontein to face DR Congo who qualified from Group D after a 2-1 win over Burundi to finish second.
The Ghana Black Stars will take on DR Congo on Sunday, which majority believes to be a repeat of the first tournament which was held in Côte d’Ivoire 2009 and won by DR Congo 2-0.
The chairman of the Local Black Stars management, Fred Pappoe explains the recent progress of the Ghana Black Stars to the knockout phase of the tournament.
Ghana Black Stars top the group with 7 points with wins over Congo and Ethiopia while a draw against Libya.
The team and the Coach Maxwell Konadu has been seriously criticised by the media for the slow start to the tournament, but Fred Pappoe, the Head of the team’s management committee praises the team and the Coach to remain calm despite the pressure. Continue Reading.....
